Things are looking good

Today in Hydro they said things are looking really good. BUT, there is a portion of the flap on the left knee that is not doing so well. There, also is a portion that is doing really well. Please continue to pray that the left knee will heal exceptionally well. Caleb has had a fever the last 2 nights, but it has been breaking by morning. We think it could be coming from his knee, but they are also doing cultures to be sure.

Tues or Wed Dr. Summitt will address his chin & look at his left knee in surgery. In a perfect world this would be Caleb's last surgery.

Caleb got the O.K. to begin working with his left arm. Sam, his OT person gave him exercises to begin working that left forearm, wrist, and hand.

Dad & family are on their way here now & Mom & Todd are getting ready to leave. It is most bittersweet! I love you Caleb!

Caleb does not want his number out. There is so much going on for him every day, that keeping up with family phone calls is a challenge itself. I hope you understand. Tami

Tami, your son is such a gift and blessing to everyone he has met....I am one of his friends from Lee and sadly enough haven't been up there to see him, but I look forward to personally getting to meet you someday too and praying with you. This blog has been such a great way to keep updated and I thank you for writing it. We love Caleb so much!!

Caleb--this is from Mike and Sue Jacoby
I have thought about you a million times since your accident. Jan Larsen has been calling me and I have been keeping up on things via this sight. Words can't really express what is in my heart. Only in the Christian World can people all over the USA be praying for you and know that God hears all of our prayers. Many prayers in Las Vegas have been sent to God. My son, Scott asks me daily for specific prayers for you. He is now praying for your left knee. God loves specific prayers so He can get the Glory. You probably know- Scott has been called into the ministry. He is learning so much at the Shephard School of Ministry at the Kansas City Baptist Temple. I know beyond doubt that God will reveal His plan for your life. Caleb, I know that there will be the valleys- they are our human nature. I pray that you will not be discouraged by them. Jesus definetly knows our thoughts and it is okay to have our weak moments--cause then He is strong. I am so excited to see how He will use you in the future. What an awesome blessing you will be and are to many people. But I am also so sadden at the loss of your feet. I have cried many tears for you. I wish that we didn't live so far away. I love your whole family. I will never forget our trip down the river and up the mountain that summer. Jesus loves you and so do we. Sue Jacoby

Hey Caleb this is Rachelle Bredehoft. You may not remember me, but we went to Park Avenue together. Lol seems like a long time ago I know.

I would just like to encourage you to keep Pressing On. I know you have had to make several difficult and hard choices over the past few days especially. Choices that no one your age should have to be making, but there is a reason and although we don't know the full reason, God has a plan for you. I am now praying that everything will run smoothly so that you will be able to make it back home to spend Thanksgiving with your family. What a day of thanksgiving that would be.

I was thinking of what I could say to encourage you and I found the FOOTPRINTS poem. I sure hope it is a blessing to you.

One night I had a dream- I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was only one set of footprints. This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, "You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying times of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?" The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child. I love you, and I would never, never leave you during your times of trial and suffering. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

I hope it was an encouragement to you. Keep your focus on the Lord and He will carry you through. Hope to see you when I get back. Rachelle

Do you remember the rodeo?
